Field Trip to North Carolina Museum of Art in Raleigh (April 6, 2017 – 11:30am)
We’re taking a field trip! The North Carolina Museum of Art in Raleigh has a special exhibit of alterpieces, devotional paintings and portraits from Renaissance Venice on display through June. We have reserved a tour guided by museum docents. We’ll lunch in the Iris Café after our tour, then return to the museum to view the Ansel Adams exhibit. The cost of both exhibits and a prix fixe lunch will be $32. For those who would like to visit the museum but will not eat lunch, the cost will be $16. NCMA members receive an additional discount on admission (In order to receive a member’s discount, a NCMA card must be presented at entry). Space is limited, and registration closes March 27. Junior EYC Mission Trip (June 23-25, 2017)
Rising 6th-8th graders will travel to the Episcopal Farm Workers site in Dunn, NC. Here they will have an opportunity to visit and get to know more about the lives of farmworkers and their families. Youth will witness firsthand the difficult conditions in which farmworkers live. They will also be able to create a connection between the food on our plates and the human faces that help harvest it. The cost of this trip will be $150. Scholarship funds are available.
Senior EYC Mission Trip (July 23-28, 2017)
Rising 9th graders through graduating seniors will be traveling to Asheville, NC and partnering with Asheville Youth Mission.The cost of the trip is expected to be around $600. Scholarship funds are available. Registration deadline is Sunday, April 30th.
